Kurt co-founded Discount EDGAR in 2009 and has been our Director of Operations ever since. He holds a B.A. in Economics from the Univeristy of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) and was a member of their NCAA Divison I golf team. Before Discount EDGAR he worked in several different industies, including financial services/retirement planning, real estate and construction. He has always had a passion for the financial markets and has been personally investing for the past 18 years. Kurt brings this same passion to his daily interactions with companies of all sizes and will do whatever it takes to help them succeed. Outside of work, Kurt and his wife enjoy traveling the world and exploring new destinations. His other interests include triathlon, running, golf and working on projects around the house.
Jim started at Discount EDGAR in January of 2012 as a Client Service Representative and has been our Operations Manager since 2015. He holds a B.S in Business Adminstration from the College of Saint Rose and was a four year member of their NCAA Division II golf team. He has always excelled in competitive sports which require accuracy and teamwork, he brings these same values to our Company on a daily basis. His focus and strong will to learn are a great asset for us in the ever changing compliance business. When he is not working, Jim enjoys spending time with friends and family at the lake and working on his golf game.
Eric has been part of the Discount EDGAR staff since January 2015 and was promoted to our Client Management Team in 2017. He quickly learned the daily tasks of the business and maintains a focus on helping our client's with all of their fling needs. He is a graduate of Hudson Valley Community College with a degree in Business Administration. Eric also has a passion for film and completed programs from mainstream colleges such as The New York Film Academy. He has parlayed his unique education to our Company while bringing a fresh, modern perspective to marketing and design projects. He is a versatile member of our staff and is always willing to take on new and creative tasks. Eric's other passion is sports and when he is not working you can find him rooting on his favorite New York teams, the Mets and Jets.
Alex has been with us since 2009 and maintains our company's computer infrastructure. He really enjoys the daily challenges that come with the constant work of a primarily computer-based business. Without Alex on our team to make sure everything is working quickly and efficiently, we would not be able to bring the level of service all of our client's have become accustomed to.
